yesterday was a nice afternoon. i finished the first draft of a legal note about the ticketing industry, and after investing about fourteen hours in writing that beast, i went for a walk to the union to buy an ink cartridge and get some fresh air. it was a beautiful day, i was listening to tunes on my new mp3 player, and kept walking for another two hours, taking in parts of the UF campus i'd never been to before, stopping at the big library - the book i wanted to pick up was on loan - and then walking around some more. it seems pretty silly and quaint, that i was really happy out walking around. simple thrills. i listened to ' hold on now, youngster' and few songs from the new nick cave. he's the only man who can pull off words like prolix, jejune and myxomatoid in a lyric, as well as "bukowski was a jerk / berryman was the best", all on the same song. check out 'we call upon the author' on his myspace.

hey guys! it's me, samir! i didnt have a computer power cable for a week and it was weird not being connected. i read two books. my classes are all fine, thank you. this came up in a judicial opinion, my new favourite: "'Pufnstuf' wears what can only be described as a yellow and green dragon suit with a blue cummerband from which hangs a medal which says 'mayor'. 'McCheese' wears a version of pink formal dress -- 'tails' -- with knicker trousers. He has a typical diplomat's sash on which is written 'mayor', the 'M' consisting of the McDonald's trademark of an 'M' made of golden arches."
--Circuit Judge James M. Carter 562 F.2d 1157
i saw the film dedication yesterday and didn't much care for it, though there was one line that was very sweet. last week we threw a party. nothing got broken, stolen, immolated or vomited upon, so i'd say it was a success. i looked a bit like eddie argos, only for one night. i think that kal penn teaching at penn is funny enough, but he can't really talk about stereotyping in the media, can he? we're putting on a music law conference in a couple of weeks, but honestly the amount of work i'm putting in as treasurer is minimal. might go and see band of horses next week. though i haven't yet seen 'meet the spartans', i'm sure i will soon because those filmmakers grimly fascinate me. matthieu flamini remains my hero. i'm going to be turning 25 in a few days. that's pretty old, man. see you in another two months' time!

my two teams are doing well - the real one and the fantasy one. i'm happy about that. bonde do role cancelled their gig here. not happy about that. second year of law school is like the first year of law school except you get to meet more people and do more work. i did a 24 page case note about the noriega extradition case recently, it felt like a tyson fight. i'm helping organise a music law conference here in february. it's nice to be involved extra-curricularly. yesterday went to the mexican restaurant to see the mariachi band play. i removed half my subscriptions on google reader, and most of my podcasts on itunes, in an attempt to be more productive that said, i'm listening to the best show on wfmu all the time. such as right now. speaking of - http://www.phoobis.com/fot/rambocky_footlong.htmlgainesville improv festival is in two weeks, i'm probably going to buy a festival pass so i can get into all of the seven shows. oncoming traffic is performing but i don't know anyone in oncoming traffic. i don't blog too much anymore, nor do i eat well, nor do i watch television. can't believe i missed kid nation. i bought some jeans. excited for darjeeling limited. ok bye.
